Arizona/Hawaii/California Travel Required | Full-Time

What You'll Do:

Team Leadership & Property Oversight

  • Supervise, train, and support site teams to ensure high performance and operational excellence
  • Conduct regular site visits and engage with staff to promote collaboration and compliance
  • Ensure properties meet AWI standards for maintenance, quality, and safety
  • Support resolution of resident disputes and uphold professional conduct at all sites
  • Evaluate vendors and maintenance contractors to ensure cost-effective services

Financial & Operational Performance

  • Review monthly financials and conduct variance analysis
  • Assist in budgeting and long-term asset planning alongside the Portfolio Director
  • Identify areas for cost control, increased efficiency, and improved property performance

Compliance & Regulatory Management

  • Ensure compliance with LIHTC, HUD, USDA RD, and other affordable housing regulations
  • Stay current with regulatory changes and guide on-site teams accordingly
  • Oversee certifications, audits, and all required regulatory filings
  • Ensure documentation and resident files are audit-ready and in full compliance

What You Bring to the Table:

  • 5+ years of experience in affordable housing property management (LIHTC, HUD, USDA RD required)
  • Real estate license strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; High school diploma or GED required
  • Strong working knowledge of Fair Housing laws, building codes, and safety regulations
  • Ability to analyze financial reports, spot trends, and lead performance improvements
  • Experience training, mentoring, and leading remote or multi-site teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and industry software (RealPage, Yardi, etc.)
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Access to a personal smartphone with email, messaging and app functionality. Usage will be reimbursed.


Preferred: CPM, HCCP, or similar industry certifications
